Winemaker Notes

Destemmed with light crush and three day cold soak to extract color. During the 19 day co-fermentation with Petit Verdot, the must received daily punch- downs and pumpovers. After fermentation, the wine was pressed off and settled for 24 hours before racked to barrel.

Pairings

Honey smoked ham with scalloped potatoes and french green beans.

Ratings

This beautiful and muscular wine matches deep, focused blueberry and black-currant flavors with mouthcoating, fine-grained tannins for good balance on a high level. With 15% Petit Verdot blended in, it offers good depth, layered fruit, accents of espresso and vanilla and a creamy mouthfeel despite the saturated tannins. Best from 2025.
